public interface EsqlSqlcaHandler_n

The aim of this interface is to provide a way to customize SQL error codes and messages before they're stored in the SQLCA.
Use EsqlSqlcaHandler_n instead of EsqlSqlcaHandler if your programs are compiled with the -cp option.

Here is a sample class that intercepts the unique key violation error on PostgreSQL and maps it to the error code -803 so a program written for DB2 that checks if SQLCODE=-803 can work also on PostgreSQL:

sqlcaDecoder

Receives the instance of SQLException behind an SQL error and allows you to set the following SQLCA fields: SQLCODE, SQLERRMC and SQLSTATE.

Parameters:

ex - the Java exception produced by the SQL error

sqlcode - the value to be stored in SQLCODE

sqlstate - the value to be stored in SQLSTATE

sqlerrmc - the value to be stored in SQLERRMC
